We were under a winter weather warning advisory yesterday.
The weird part was the thunder booms and lightning with the sleet.
The temp was like 35 or so at the time it happened. It was definitely strange imo.

Did a bit of research and it seems to me that thundersnow is happening more these days < I saw several reports) and it said to be extremely rare to occur. Curious as to Why it seems to be happening moreso now... at least this is MY take on the subject.
We never got the expected snow accumulation either btw!
Wiki states Thundersnow is a rare event and even rarer with sleet.
