What is this Object - (on Mars from Rover)?

No one actually discussed these objects I noticed but images were being shown in the background from the Mars Rover.

There was a skull like rock? and then this object captured my attention so I snapshot captured.

Was this really on Mars? If so, what is this object? It reminds me of something similar I have seen on Earth but I cannot recall what it may be.

Has anyone determined what this object could be? Here is the image:
